A quiet, contented marriage collapses overnight when Musarrat Nazir’s brother, Saleem Raza — fleeing a murder charge — seeks refuge in her home. Sudhir, a police inspector and her husband, misinterprets the situation, fires at the stranger, and abandons Musarrat along with their newborn daughter, Husna. More than a decade later, fate brings Musarrat back into their lives as a domestic worker — unknowingly becoming Husna’s caretaker.
