Film Sheila or Pind Di Kuri
Plot
Shiela (Nawab Begum) is a poor village girl adopted by the local Zamindar (landowner Nawazish Ali) after her mother's death.
She falls in love with the Zamindar’s son, Kidar (K.L. Rajpal), a soldier. The two marry secretly before a goddess, and Kidar promises to remain faithful.
When Kidar is called away to war, Shiela discovers she is pregnant. Upon learning this, her adoptive family turns her out of the house.
Kidar returns from the war and begins a desperate search for his wife. He eventually finds her in police custody, where she has been held for a crime committed in self-defense.
