  • Daughters of Today or Aaj Ki Betian was first ever Lahore-made silent film. Production started in 1924 and took three years to complete, mainly due to financial problems.
  • Gopal Krishan Mehta was a degree holder in cinematography and film processing from a Germany based company U.F.A. He was a railway officer and made some documentary films before this feature film.
