Gopal Krishan Mehta or "G K Mehta" was a degree holder in cinematography and film processing from a Germany based company U.F.A. He was a railway officer and made some documentary films. He was honored to become the first ever feature film producer, director and cinematographer in Lahore-made film Daughters of Today in 1927.
His other films were Charagh Hassan, Gulshan Alam (1935), Toofani Khazana (1937), Master Mail, Prem Samadhi (1938), Jagari (1939) and Bhai Chara (1943).
