Munawar Sultana was the first ever female playback singer in Pakistani films. She sang four songs in the first ever released Pakistani film Teri Yaad in 1947. Her first super hit song was:

  • Meinu Rabb di Sohn Teray Naal Pyar Ho Geya Way Channa, Sachi Muchi.

It was sung in first musical Pakistani film Pheray (1949). She also sang the first ever super hit duet song with Inayat Hussain Bhatti in the same film..

Munawar Sultana's all time mega hit song was in Pakistan's first blockbuster film Dulla Bhatti (1956)..
