It was sung by Naseem Begum for film Mother-e-Watan in 1966 and was one of the all time best patriotic song for 1965-war.
Pakistan Film Industry had many big music directors, one of them was a pair of two brothers - Saleem & Iqbal, who composed music in 31 movies and some of them were very big musical movies.
Saleem Iqbal were together in their first film Sheikh Chili in 1958 and composed a super hit song:

They composed music for remarkable film Kartar Singh (1959) and among all the hit songs, this song by Naseem Begum was all time mega hit song which became a folk song:
- Desan Da Raja, Meray Babul Da Pyara..
Saleem Iqbal's other big musical movies were Darwaza (1962), Baji (1963), Pakeeza (1968), Phannay Khan (1965), Mera Veer (1967), Dukh Sajna Day, Ajj Da Mehinwal (1973) etc.
Younger brother Saleem Hussain was born in 1933 and died on April 2, 1996 and according to unconfirmed report, elder brother Iqbal Hussain died on April 8, 1996 (!?)
