Khalil was a famous film hero from Dhaka made Urdu films in the 1960s. His first Urdu film was Preet Na Janya Reet in 1963. His second film Sangam (1964) was first ever colored film in Pakistan, which was produced in Dhaka as well. His film Mala (1965) was first ever cinema scope film in Pakistan - again made in Dhaka. He was seen as villain actor in film Begana (1966). His other films were Kaisay Kahun and Kajal (1965), Hamdam and Uljhan in 1967 and his last Urdu film Jungli Phool in 1968.

Khalil (Khalil Ullah Khan) was seen in more than 800 movies in Bangladesh and was regarded as one of the greatest actor on Bangla silver screen. He was born on February 1, 1934 at Sylhet, Bangladesh and died on December 7, 2014.
