Zahoor Shah was seen in more than two dozens films before partition. His first film was a silent film Faribi Daku (1931). Majnu (1935) was his first talkie film. Dulla Bhatti (1949), Mera Mahi, Sehti Murad (1941), Gowandhi, Patwari (1942), Shukriya (1944) etc. were some of his famous film from prepartition era.
After the creation of Pakistan, Zahoor Shah played some significant roles a supporting actor in some famous films like Maa Kay Aansoo, Neelam (1963). Bharaji and Lai Lagg (1964). He appeared in almost 80 films as a supporting actor.
