Muhammad Naseer, best known as Naseer Bhai, had been ill for some time and died in Lahore on June 26, 2016. He presented Naseer Bhai ka Challenge in Express TV show Khabardar and was known as "the music encyclopedia of Indo-Pak film songs from 1950 till 1980". He worked as a song recorder for four decades and had almost every single LP of Indian and Pakistani film songs from this period. He had a very sharp memory of films, songs, singers, music directors and lyricists from the golden era of Pakistani and Indian cinema.
Naseer Bhai was born at Lahore in 1949 and saw his first film Chodhary in 1962. According to his interview published in the Daily Ummat on May 16, 2012, his favorite film actresses were Firdous, Naghma and Rani and singers Madam Noorjahan and Masood Rana.
