She was introduced in a super hit musical Punjabi film Chann Mahi in 1956. She never became a top class heroine but got great successes in old roles. She was best known as Sultan Rahi's Mother because she appeared in many Punjabi films in the 80s as his mother.

Bahar appeared as heroine/second heroine in films like Zulfan (1957), Kartar Singh (1959), Salma, Mitti dian Murtan, Salma (1960), Daal mein Kala (1962), Shararat (1963), Lutera, Bharjai, Khandan, Waris Shah, Landa Bazar, Azad, Farangi (1964) etc.. Some of her famous films in old roles are Jeera Blade (1973), Aina (1977), Sher Khan (1981), Moula Bakhsh (1988), Choorian and many more..

Bahar, real name Kishwar Hafeez, married director and actor Iqbal Yousuf and left the film industry on peak, but came back as supporting actress after divorce.

اس دوران، 2011ء میں میڈیا کے لیے akhbarat.com اور 2016ء میں فلم کے لیے pakfilms.net کی الگ الگ ویب سائٹس بھی بنائی گئیں
لیکن 23 مارچ 2017ء کو انھیں موجودہ اور مستقل ڈومین pakmag.net میں ضم کیا گیا جس نے "پاک میگزین" کی شکل اختیار کر لی تھی۔
