Arshad Kazmi was writer of famous movies like Pani and Sher di Bachi in 1964. He was producer of film Khota Paisa (1965). His most remarkable work was one of the ever greeen musical Punjabi film Dhee Rani in 1969. He was director of this film and his wife Mumtaz Bano was producer. His stepdaughter top actress Aliya was seen as solo heroine in this film first time. Other films were Tabedar (as director in 1966), Baghi Haseena and Jawani di Hawa in 1973.
Arshad Kazmi was educated at Islamia College Lahore and worked at Daily Zamindar. He was born in 1928 at Zafarwal, Sialkot and died on May 25, 1981 at Lahore.
