Arshad Kazmi made two films as director, Tabedar (1966) and Dhee Rani (1969). He was producer of film Khota Paisa (1965). He was writer of six films, Neelam (1963), Pani, Bharjai (1964), Khota Paisa (1965), Tabedar (1966) and Jageerdar (1967).

Arshad Kazmi was married to Mumtaz Bano, who was producer of film Dhee Rani (1969) and mother of top actress Aliya, who was seen as solo heroine in this film first time. He was educated at Islamia College Lahore and worked as a journalist at Daily Zamindar. He was born in 1928 at Zafarwal, Sialkot and died on May 25, 1981 at Lahore.
