Khurshid

Khurshid was the third most famous female artist (after Noor Jehan and Surayya) who was actress and singer same time.

Her fist film was a silent film Laila Majnu (1931). Tansen (1943) was her most popular film with legendary artist Kundan Lal Seigal.

Khurshid was only seen in two Pakistan movies, Funkar and Mandi in 1956 but without any success.

Khurshid was born in Mian Channu, Khanewal, Punjab and married with comedy actor Lala Yaqoob. Her second marriage was with a businessman Yusuf Bhai Mian. She died on April 18, 2001 in Karachi.
