Khawaja Khursheed Anwar

Khawaja Khursheed Anwar was regarded as one of the all time best music director in Pakistani films. Although, he started with a per-partition Bombay made Punjabi film Kurmai in 1941 and composed music in seven movies before partition and three in Indian movies, but he was not successful there.

Khawaja sahib migrated back to his homeland and stunned music world with his mega hit musical film Intezar in 1956. He composed music in 19 Pakistani films and most of his contribution got widely appreciation among music lovers. He was producer and writer of 6 movies and director of three of them.

Khawaja Khursheed Anwar was born on March 21, 1912 in Mianwali and got masters degree in Philosophy. He died on October 30, 1984 in Lahore.
