K. Khursheed was born as a Hindu Krishna Kumar. He was invited to Pakistan and helped Syed Atta Ullah Shah Bukhari as director in films like Noukar (1955), Chhoti Begum (1956), Daata (1957) etc.
He converted to Islam and got name as Khalid Khursheed. His first film as independent film director was Shola aur Shabnam (1967). Neend Hamari Khawab Tumharay, Charagh Kahan Roshni Kahan and Sher Puttar (1971), Ayo Pyar Karen (1972), Gharana (1973), Nanha Farista (1974), Anokhi (1976), Be-nazir Qurbani (1985) and Badla (1987) were some of his famous films.
K. Khursheed died on December 21, 1990.
