Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah (1733-1757) was the last independent "Nawab of Bengal", reigning from 1756 to 1757. He lost the "Battle of Plassey", which is widely considered the turning point in the history of the subcontinent, marking the start of British rule in India.
It was a double version film in both Urdu and Bengali languages and released on the same day, in both wings East & West Pakistan. Urdu version was succesful.
This film got special prize in a film festival in USSR in 1967.
