Amin Malik started his film career as a supporting actor in film Mangti in 1942 which was made in Lahore. He appeared in many films before partition.

After creation of Pakistan, he made his first film Judai as director in 1950. He directed 18 films and the most popular films were Choorian in 1963 and Mama Jee in 1964. His last film Changa Khoon (1972) released after his death. He was also producer of some films.

Amin Malik was born in Lahore and died on December 31, 1970.
