Riazur Rehman Saghar began his film career from film Aliya (1967). His first hit song was "Meray Dil Kay Sanam Khanay Mein Ik Tasvir Aisi Hay, Jo Bilkul Aap Jaisi Hay.." sung by Masood Rana in film Sharik-e-Hayyat (1968). He penned super hit songs for movies like Samaj (1974), Anmol Mohabbat (1978), Sargam (1995), Chief Sahib, Ghoonghat (1996), Inteha (1999), Mohabtan Sachian (2007) etc.

Riazur Rehman Saghar wrote columns in Nawa-e-Waqt every week, while he also wrote his travel experience of China in the form of a poem which used to be published in the newspaper weekly. He was born in 1941 and died in 2013.
