Hakeem Ahmad Shujaa wrote the famous Urdu novel Baap ka Gunnah, which was filmed by his son Anwar Kemal Pasha in 1950 as Pakistan's first silver jubilee Urdu film 2 Aansoo. He wrote some other film stories as well.

Hakeem sahib was a famous drama, novel and short story writer. He published a famous Urdu literature magazine Hazar Dastan and kids magazine No-Nahal from Lahore. He was also secretary of Punjabi Assembly.

Hakeem Ahmad Shujaa was born on November 4, 1893 and died on January 4, 1969 in Lahore.
