Mushtaq Changi's first film was Shehroz Feroz in 1968. He was introduced by famous Sindhi film producer and director Sheikh Hassan.

His other famous movies were Chandoki (1969), Laila Majnu, Mehboob Mitha (1971), Mithra Shaal Millan (1972), Jeejal Maar (1973), Pyar Kio Singhar, Manju Pyar Pukaray (1974), Mamta (1984), Pro (1987) etc. He was also seen in Urdu film Jasoos (1977). His last film was Meeran Jamali in 1990.

Mushtaq Changezi also wrote and directed 5 Sindhi movies and continued performing on stage too. He spent last days on Radio Pakistan Hyderabad.

Mushta Changezi's first marriage was with actress and heroine Chakori. His real name was Mushtaq Malano and his mortal remains were laid to rest in Tando Jahanian graveyard, Hyderabad.
