Mian Mustaq made the first ever Jungle movie in Pakistan with name Dara (1968) and introduced a bodybuilder Mr. Pakistan Nasrullah Butt as hero. This film was inspired by Indian actor Dara Singh and his role in a jungle film from famous American fiction character the Jungle King Tarzan.

Mian Mushtaq was best known for his famous Punjabi film Chhoomantar in 1958. His other movies were Raqasa (1965), Akhri Chttan (1970), Azadi (1972), Ustad (1975) and Darinda (Pashto - 1985).

He died on May 2, 1982 in Lahore.
