Mala was the most popular female singer in Pakistani Urdu and Punjabi films in the 1960s. She sang many super hit songs and a big numbers of duets with Ahmad Rushdi and Masood Rana as well.

Mala was introduced in film Daku Ki Larki in 1960 and got breakthrough from film Mehboob in 1962 with this super hit song Sapno Mein Urri Urru Jaun..

Mala was born on November 9, 1939 in Faisalabad. Her real name was Naseem Nazli and she was younger sister of Pakistan's first female music director Shamim Nazli. She died on March 6, 1990 at Lahore.
