Sassi (1954) was his first film as producer, which became the first ever Golden Jubilee super hit film in Pakistan. His second film Heer (1955) was another box office hit. It was first ever Punjabi film from Karachi. He won the battle with Lahore based Evernew Pictures when his film Ishq-e-Laila beat Laila Majnu in 1957. Nooran (1957) was another big musical film from his film company Eveready Pictures. His film Noor-e-Islam (1957) was more famous for its evergreen Naat Shah-e-Madina (saw). His another famous movies were Hatim (1956), Miss 56 (1956), Hasrat (1958), Alam Ara (1959) and Dulhan (1963).

J.C. Anand was father of Satish Anand, who succeed him in film business. He died on May 17, 1977 in Karachi.
