Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi was a legendary writer, poet and journalist. His short story Gandasa was filmed as Wehshi Jatt in 1975, which changed the whole style of Punjabi movies. He was dialogue-writer of three films, Aghosh (1953), 2 Rastay (1961) and Lori in 1966. He wrote a song in film Darinda (1970) as well.

Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi was editor of one of the main Urdu Daily Imroz Lahore. His real name was Ahmad Shah Awan. He was born in Khushab on November 20, 1916 and died on July 9, 2006 in Lahore. Read more on Wikipedia
