In 1973 Babra shareef appeared in an washing powder advertisement that was very very popular and run many years on PTV at that time. Same period she started to work in TV plays like Miss 4'o clock, Sohni mahiwal, Karamat, Anarkali Babra Sharif with her first film hero Tanvirand Aap ka Mukhlis etc. Very first time Nazeer Soofi (Producer and Director) gave her a chance of heroin in his film Aik aur aik giarah opposite new comer Tanveer and other actors were Nanha, Saiqa, Baber and Shahnaz but unfortunately due to some reasons this film could not be exhibited. Babra's second film was Kahan say kahan tak directed by Nazeer Soofi could also not be released. However then Babra appeared in second roles in film Bhool, Intizar, Haqeeqat, and Nouker etc and recognized as a heroine from film Maira naam hay mohabbat (1975) by Shabab Kairanvi and after this film she did not see back and ruled over more than 20 years in pak film world as heroine.
