Majnu (Harold Lewis) was the first top comedian in Lahore based Hindi/Urdu and Punjabi films. His first film was Majnu 1935, which was made by Shorey films in Lahore.

Dulla Bhatti (1941) was his first Punjabi film. His role as "Posti" in famous first Mohammad-Rafi-film Gul Baloch (1944) earned him a title role in famous Indian Punjabi film Posti (1951).

After partition, he moved to Bombay and appeared in many Indian Punjabi and Hindi films. He was a producer, director and writer sas well.

Majnu was born in Amritsar in 1913 and died in Bombay in 1975.
