Mashriq, LahoreDaily Urdu Newspaper
Daily Mashriq Lahore was the second largest circulated and the most popular Lahore based daily Urdu newspaper in Pakistan in the 1960-70s. It was a quality newspaper which was known for its beautiful design, layout, calligraphy and progressive features. It was also the only Urdu newspaper, which was published from all four provinces capitals, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta. It was captured on August 31, 1964 by Ayub-regime under the Pakistan Press Trust law and was closed in the late 1980s.
