This film was released few weeks after Sultan Rahi's death and got a huge reception at the box office. This film celebrated diamond jubilee (103 weeks - 38 weeks on its main cinema Shabistan, Lahore). The story was patriotic and unrealistic and based on the protest and anger of Muslims on the destruction of Babari Mosque in Ayodhia, India.
