Madam Noor Jehan came back to Lahore after a remarkable film- and singing career in Bombay. Her first film was a Punjabi film Chann We, which was a great melodious movie. Madam Noor Jehans first Urdu film in Pakistan was Dopatta and it was all time greatest musical Urdu film. She had just 13 films in 11 years career as film heroine. Chann We, Dopatta, Intezaar, Patey Khan, Choomantar, Koel and Neend were superhit films.

She was heroine of Pakistans first ever silver jubilee film Pherey. As heroine Laarey, Sherhri Babu, Noukar, Heer and as character actress Sawaal were som big films.
Sawarn Lata was born as Sikh and converted to Islam after she married prominent actor, producer and director Nazir. The first film they produced in Pakistan was "Heer Ranjha", but film print was destroyed due to poor negative of the film. Her real name was Saeeda Bano and she died on February 8, 2008.

The almond-eyed beauty - actress Ragni died on February 27 at Lahore. She was 85. Once she ruled over the hearts of thousands and won the title of "Ahu-Chashm" with her first film Dulla Bhatti in 1940.
Ragni was born in Gujranwala in 1923 as Shamshad Begum, her mother was a Muslim woman and father was a Hindu landlord. She set a record for the highest fee by a heroine when she charged Rs 100,000 for Shahjehan (in which she played Mumtaz Mehal, she was paired with Kundan Lal Saigal.
In Pakistan she produced and acted in film Beqarar in 1950 with her second husband S. Gul. Noukar in 1955 was one of her big film and her portrayal of Dil Aram in Anarkali (1958) earned her a lot of appreciation. She played character roles in Naela (1965), Lado (1966), Sheran di jori (1969), Charhda Suraj (1970) and some other films. She was seen in 60 films, 36 Urdu, 23 Punjabi and one Pashto film in Pakistan.
