Record Pashto film business..!
Despite the religious government in the North West Frontier Province (Sarhad) MMA has prohibited to show film publicity sign boards on cinemas or other places, the Pashto film business is flourishing throughout the province and also in Karachi and Lahore. There are a total of 54 cinemas for 20 million populations in the province, 13 of them are in Peshawar - the capital city in the province. 20 out of 25 Pashto films were hit on box office but only one Urdu film was super hit film.
