Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was a legendary musicians and singer, who was mostly known by his qawwalies. He began in 1964. His father Fateh Ali Khan and Mubarak Ali Khan were well known musicians.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was internationally known when he composed music with Peter Gabriel on the soundtrack to The Last Temptation of Christ in 1985. 1990s was his peak period. He composed music in many Indian movies. He also composed music for Pakistani film Pall 2 Pall (1999) and sang qawwalies in few movies.

He was born on October 13, 1948 in Faisalabad and died on August 16, 1997 in London.
