He was son of the owner of Pakistan's most modern film studio Evernew Studio Lahore - Agha G.A. Gul.

Agha Riaz Gul directed four movies Rangi (1974), Milap (1975), Dara (1976) and Too chor Main Sipahi (1998). He was also producer of these movies. He produced two other movies Yaden (1971 and Miss Allah Rakhi (1998).

He died on March 18, 2004 at Lahore.
